(Teleborsa) – “Lo smart working can be regarded as a new form of welfare corporate which is flanked by other more traditional benefits because it allows, if properly regulated, to be able to better reconcile work and life times, not only for women, and as such must be increasingly considered in the future “. This was stated by the president of the CNEL, Tiziano Treu, to the microphones of Radio Confapi, interviewed on the occasion of the release of the new edition of the Corporate Welfare Guide of which he is the editor.
“Corporate welfare, until two years ago was the prerogative of a few large companies, has spread to tens of thousands of companies, becoming an increasingly widespread phenomenon. The latest figures from the Ministry of Labor speak of tens of thousands of agreements business and a hundred different measures ranging from nursery vouchers to health policies, come on benefits for shopping and mobility to those for the family but also for free time, such as subscriptions to gyms, sports clubs, swimming pools. Today the welfare ‘currency’ can weigh more than currency cash in the pay slip. Also because the latter is taxed while welfare activities are tax exempt and therefore if I want to allocate a figure for each employee it will benefit fully. Moreover, the more the benefits are destined for a large number of employees, the more savings are increased for the company which can invest in a greater number of measures ”, added Treu.
“The question that opened with the pandemic it is like making corporate welfare more and more homogeneous and extending it to small and very small businesses whose employees they are still left out, except in a few virtuous cases. Network contracts, forms of organization on the territory, relations with local authorities must be encouraged ”, concluded the president of the CNEL.
