(Teleborsa) – It was presented today in Mandello del Lario, during the event “Road to 2121: the next 100 years of Moto Guzzi”, the important conservative renovation project of the industrial site in which, for exactly a century, every single motorcycle of the Aquila brand has been produced.
Designed byAmerican architect and designer Greg Lynn, the intervention – explains Moto Guzzi – will affect the entire area. The works will start by 2021, and will be completed in the first half of 2025. “This is – reads the note – a futuristic project, unique in style and genre: an environment with open spaces accessible to the public. It will be a community aggregation center, based on culture, design and mechanics, with a marked green attitude, typical of the contemporary world “.
The new buildings will be built with the use of existing cubic spaces, with a choice of materials marked by a strong attention to one efficient management of energy resources, with photovoltaic systems and eco-sustainable materials.
The new site aims to become a point of reference not only for Moto Guzzi enthusiasts, but also for the world of young people and international tourism who want to get closer to motorcycles.
L’expansion of production capacity, in line with the constant increase in market demand, – underlines the company – it will go alongside a completely new concept of the Mandello plant.
The project includes, together with the new establishment, new congress spaces, intended for internal and external events, as well as a hotel and a restaurant that complete the hospitality offer for visitors expected from all over the world.
On the occasion of the presentation of the project was shown in a world exclusive, the new Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello. The appointment for the official presentation of the new bike is for next November 23 at EICMA International Two-wheeler Show in Milan.
