After smartphones, watches and even televisions, Realme is entering the tablet market with the Realme Pad. An entry-level device that will have a lot to do to win.
After a few days of teasing, Realme has just formalized its touchscreen tablet running on Android. The Realme Pad arrives in a market where few new players are trying to find a place. And to be able to convince, the firm relies on a complete technical sheet and a small price.
Indeed, this Realme Pad offers a 10.4-inch panel, with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels as well as an occupancy rate of 82% depending on the brand. Realme seems very proud of the thinness of 6.9 mm as well as the weight of 440 g of its tablet. If it is obviously not the lightest nor the thinnest on the market, the contained dimensions are always pleasant for the grip.
Inside, the product has a MediaTek Helio G80 processor coupled with 3 or 4 GB of RAM depending on the version chosen. In addition, 32 or 64 GB of internal storage, with a slot to accommodate a microSD card. A 7100 mAh battery is present and can be recharged at a power of 18 W maximum. Realme also specifies that its tablet supports wired reverse charging. Finally, its photo panel includes two modules, at the front and at the back. These are 8 megapixels each.
The arrival of the Realme Pad allows the Chinese firm to further expand its ecosystem, which already includes a number of products in India. Thus, the tablet will be able to communicate easily with smartphones, televisions or even connected watches that make up the various product ranges. However, it is not certain that we can taste this privilege in France.
As for the price, this new tablet is part of the entry level being launched from around 160 €. The most expensive of the models is displayed at 205 €, for availability in India from September 16. Prices which should however change during a possible exit in France.
