Our sincere congratulations to the astrophysicist Francoise Combes which receives today, Tuesday September 7, 2021, the CNRS 2020 gold medal. The ceremony, a year ago, had been postponed due to the health crisis from Covid-19. A pioneer in astrochemistry in the interstellar medium, the professor at the Collège de France, researcher at the Paris Observatory, continues her work on les galaxies, and in particular the tireless hunt for the enigmatic black matter.
