On the Cardano front, preparations for Alonzo continue at full speed. The IOHK team announced that it has deployed the first version of Cardano wallet Daedalus that supports the Alonzo update.
The team of IOHK, the company behind Cardano, released an announcement on Twitter. According to the announcement, Cardano’s wallet software Daedalus is the first version to support the Alonzo update that will bring smart contracts to Cardano.
The release includes support for Alonzo, UX/UI improvements and a Trezor wallet update.
The developers invited users to install the version before the Alonzo update for a hassle-free access. A countdown timer for Alonzo has also been added to the version.
As we mentioned earlier, Alonzo, the most important update of the Cardano network, is scheduled to take place on September 13 at 00:05 CEST. Alonzo Cardano will bring smart contracts to its network and turn the network into a full-fledged DeFi platform.
