Popular British hedge fund manager Brevan Howard is starting a crypto-focused division called BH Digital. Hedge fund manager Brevan Howard has also appointed CMT Digital co-founder and former CEO Colleen Sullivan to lead crypto investments.
In April, it was reported that the fund manager plans to set aside 1.5% of its main fund (worth $5.6 billion at the time) to invest directly in cryptocurrency.
The British hedge fund announced the launch of a new entity called BH Digital, which will manage cryptocurrencies and other digital assets, in a press release.
In a statement, Brevan Howard CEO Aron Landy said Sullivan’s track record in the crypto space “will be of tremendous benefit to Brevan Howard customers and underscores the firm’s commitment to rapidly expanding its platform and offerings in cryptocurrencies and digital assets.”
