Alfred Kelly, CEO of payments giant Visa, talked about crypto assets.
Kelly participated in Fortune’s podcast Leadership Next. Speaking about cryptoassets, Kelly said that whatever role crypto assets play in the financial system, he would like to see the company at the center of this evolving space. The CEO used the following statements on the subject:
“I don’t know how far cryptocurrencies will go. Let’s say in five years it turned out to be a fad and not of much importance? Or will it be immensely popular? I am not smart enough to know that, but I am smart enough to ensure that our company is in the midst of these developments today.”
Crypto assets “big work” Kelly said that the company is fully prepared for the adoption of crypto assets.
Visa continues to recognize the crypto-asset ecosystem. In the past weeks, the payments giant announced that it had purchased a CryptoPunk from CryptoPunks, one of the popular NFT collections, and said it wanted to experience NFTs and support artists.
