While Matteo Salvini maintains a wavering position between government responsibilities and a wink to no-vax, the most “draghian” League minister, Giancarlo Giorgetti, fully supports the executive’s orientation to extend the obligation of green pass to all workers, and not just to the public sector. Just as the possibility of vaccination under certain conditions remains on the table.
Green pass
“Extending the Green pass to all workers is a hypothesis under discussion. The need of companies is to have security for those who work in the departments. I therefore believe that we will go towards an extension without discriminating against anyone ”. This is what the Minister for Economic Development said on the sidelines of the meeting with Umbrian entrepreneurs in Assisi.
“Only an infected person, net of the health consequences, risks closing the entire company – underlined Giorgetti -. We must provide a system of certainties both from the health point of view and from the point of view of the organization of work “.
Decree
The minister returned to the subject during a visit to Sansepolcro (Arezzo). “On the Green pass – said the minister – we finally voted on law decree: we are convinced that everything that prudence inspires for the containment of the pandemic must be done, and we ask for sharing. Of course there will be other steps to be taken but above all it takes the consent of the citizens, who are all convinced and all in some way motivated, without creating divisions that are useless. “When we entered the government we knew we were taking on a weight, a responsibility, in a complicated, difficult situation. Staying in government means taking responsibility, making decisions: maybe there is someone who is not happy, but it is part of the rules of the game ”.
Vaccination obligation
Finally, on the vaccination obligation, Giorgetti did not deviate from the general positions of the parliamentary majority, which tends to consider it a last resort: “” Vaccination obligation? We will see this at the end, it is an instance to be evaluated for its delicacy ”.
