The collaboration between IKEA and Sonos seems to be in good shape, since the two brands are about to announce a new product for their joint Symfonisk range consisting of speakers hitherto camouflaged as shelves, lamps and frames. Indeed, a reddit user would have discovered by chance in an IKEA store a new lamp with a particular design. He then rushed to type in the product reference on Google and came across a page from the Portuguese IKEA website (now no longer available) gathering a lot of information about the new version of the Symfonisk lamp.
We learn that the new lamp would be broken down into two blocks: the enclosure on one side and the shade on the other. Like the Symfonisk frame, it would therefore be possible to change the aesthetics of the product at will, since two finishes would be on sale: one in glass sold for € 30 and one in fabric sold for € 20. The base would be offered at a price of € 129 and would also change its design by separating from its plate-shaped support and directly integrating the controls on the base. The bulbs would be sold for € 15 each, which would make a total price of € 174 with the glass finish against € 192 for the first version of the Symfonisk lamp plus a bulb. However, there is no information as to its release date, but everything suggests that it would be imminent.
