(Teleborsa) – Inflation in Spain accelerated sharply in August. According to the uSpanish statistical office INE, the consumer price index rose by 0.5% on a monthly basis, higher than the preliminary estimate (+ 0.4%) and against -0.8% in the previous month.
Every year, there is a growth of 3.3%, as expected, after the + 2.9% of the previous month.
Harmonized inflation it recorded a positive change of 3.3% annually, in line with the preliminary estimate, and higher than the 2.9% of the previous month. On a monthly basis, the figure marks + 0.4% as expected, after the previous -1.2%.
