(Teleborsa) – Italy must accelerate the ecological transition but to date there are still several obstacles to overcome. “You have to be rigorous, not give yourself alibis, give yourself time and measure yourself on the results. To do this we need to simplify the decision-making processes, streamline the bureaucracy ”. That’s what he said the CEO of Terna, Stefano Donnarumma on the occasion of the conference “The challenge of the ecological transition”, organized today by the company at the Civita Association of Rome, which saw Terna’s top management confronted with the Minister of Infrastructures and Sustainable Mobility, Enrico Giovannini.
Is there still to be done to streamline bureaucratic processes?
“We are on a good path. In his speech, the minister recalled the important efforts that have been made in recent months. Efforts that we too see. There has also been some streamlining in our procedures. This is a truly very big and important commitment and, in my opinion, there are still possibilities for simplification but I am sure that the government is moving in that direction ”.
In his speech he defined large companies as the “locomotives” of our country. What is your call to the government to maximize their potential?
“In the first place it is necessary to continue listening. There are many people in the government who listen and converse with us, with large infrastructure companies because they understand the importance of the suggestions we can give on plans and the proposals we can make on projects. I think that these organizations can act as a reference for the multitude of actors who will enter the field to carry out the plans of the PNRR ”.
