Blockchain giant Ripple has joined the UK-based Digital Pound Foundation.
According to the information on Ripple’s official website, the company joined the Digital Pound Foundation, a non-profit organization, as a foundation member. The company will accelerate the progress of a possible CBDC, a digital currency pegged to the British pound.
Ripple’s head of policy, Susan Friedman, will represent the company at the organization. Friedman used the following statements in his statement on the subject:
