Jimmy Wales, co-founder of the online encyclopedia platform Wikipedia, is entering the world of NFT.
Jimmy Wales, “Hello, World!” The first version of the site, which wrote, was put up for sale as NFT at Christie’s auction house. Wales also auctions off the iMac computer he used to set up the site.

Titled “The Birth of Wikipedia,” the online sale will run from December 3-15. A portion of the sales proceeds will be used to support Wales’ alternative social media networking project WT.Social.

Jimmy Wales says NFT was what Wikipedia looked like on January 15, 2001, when it was founded. NFT will be offered with a starting price of $100, but this price is expected to reach millions of dollars at auction.
Jimmy Wales said the following on the subject;
“I am delighted to celebrate the work of dedicated volunteers at Wikipedia with this NFT and hope that the funds raised will both help advance this effort and support my latest project, WT.Social.”
