The February 28, 2022 the measure “Financial incentives for tourism businesses” (IFIT), promoted by Ministry of Tourism and managed by Invitalia. This is the allocation of six hundred million euros over four years to facilitate the interventions of redevelopment of structures of the tourism sector.
The initiative is foreseen by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and represents the opportunity for companies in the sector to make a qualitative leap especially in terms of sustainability, safety, energy efficiency.
Tourism, to whom the concessions are addressed
The concessions are aimed at a wide range of recipients of the tourism sector:
- to hotel companies;
- to structures that carry out agritourism activities;
- to open-air accommodation facilities;
- to companies in the tourism, recreational, exhibition and congress sector;
- to the bathing establishments;
- to the thermal complexes;
- to tourist ports;
- to theme parks including water and wildlife parks.
At the time of submitting the application, the subjects must be regularly registered in the business register.
Tourism, what are the incentives
There are two forms of incentives:
- tax credit up to 80% of the costs, transferable to third parties (banks and other financial intermediaries)
- fund contribution lost up to 50% of expenses, for a maximum amount of 40,000 euros (this limit can be increased to 100,000 euros in the presence of particular requirements related to digitization, female and youth entrepreneurship, midday).
Lost fund tourism, incentives allowed
The incentive mainly supports the improvement ofenergy efficiency, to which 50% of the resources are allocated. A share of 40% is also reserved for companies based in the regions of noon: Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily.
Other interventions allowed are:
- anti-seismic redevelopment;
- elimination of architectural barriers;
- extraordinary maintenance, restoration and conservative rehabilitation;
- building renovation;
- installation of manufactured and prefabricated buildings;
- construction of thermal pools (only for thermal establishments);
- digitization;
- purchase of furniture.
Lost tourism fund, applications starting from 28 February 2022
The interested companies submit a specific application exclusively electronically through the Invitalia online platform from 28 February to 30 March 2022. Requests will be examined in chronological order of arrival. At the end of the examination, the list of admitted applications will be published.
The forms and facsimile of the application are available on the Invitalia website from 21 February.
