What do Italians think of refreshment measures in support of activities economic? Which categories are most entitled to financial aid? The research carried out by Eumetra for the company Inrete, a consulting firm in Institutional Relations and Advocacy, tried to give an answer to these very topical questions.
From the answers to the questionnaires that analyzed the reputation of sectors such as transport, tourism, museums, cinemas, restaurants, clubs, Serie A football teams and banks emerge uncertainty and fear for his own future and a growing concern towards both the management of the family unit and the stability of the economic system. Strong criticism of the logic of attribution of economic aid provided for by PNRR especially as regards the target categories.
The family economic situation: today and in the near future
E’ unsatisfactory for about 1/3 and with a very pessimistic vision of recovery for the current year: The average satisfaction score is 5.9 on a scale of 10 divided as follows: 35% dissatisfied (of which 14% seriously), the 43% on average satisfied and 22% satisfied. Even thinking about the future, there is a strong pessimism: 34% of those who say they are satisfied today, and 78% of those who are dissatisfied, fear a worsening of their economic conditions. Spending power combined with uncertainty and anxiety from Covid-19 are the answers that got the
highest score on the question “which aspects worry you the most in your near future”.
The situation in the country, pessimism prevails
After so many months of uncertainty and fears, the fears of Italians about the economic and social situation of our country show a trend highly negative: 56% of respondents believe that the country’s economic situation will worsen; only 8% said they were optimistic with room for improvement.
For 46% of the interviewees, the protagonists of the economic and social life of the country who have given and are making the greatest contribution are the small and medium-sized enterprises, in second place the third sector with 36%. The government ranks third with 35%. For 53% of Italians, political parties must do more as well as banks, whose action is considered unsatisfactory by the 46% of the interviewees.
Ristori, the reputation of the candidate companies
Speaking of reputation: which are the sectors that enjoy it the most and which ones the least? At the top of the ranking, tourism companies with a reputation index of 30 out of 100; followed by the transport sector with an index of 28 out of 100. The lowest place in the standings goes to Serie A football teams, for which only 8% of the population interviewed attributes importance to the country’s economic development.
Business support: to whom it should be given and why
Not all respondents are fully informed on the topic of refreshments. 47% believe a company should receive refreshments because it lost revenue due to the pandemic, but provided it was previously healthy. On the other hand, only 2% believe that the Government should not provide any type of aid to any category.
The data that emerged show confidence in corporate categories in the sectors of tourism, cinema and theater and catering as well as a bending tending to negative for banks and Serie A football clubs.
Trust in the world of institutions
Good news only for the Police forces, the National Health System and the Presidency of the Republic who score above the sufficiency. In the last place they rank with a nice (so to speak) 3.4 the Italian political parties preceded by the Parliament with 4.1, completely insufficient.
