This weekend, the Bitcoin (BTC) logo lit up the Berlin night sky, adorning Germany’s tallest building with a giant orange B.

On January 21, the Bitcoin logo lit up the Berlin TV Tower (Berliner Fernsehturm). The German crypto-community then shared photos and videos on social media.
The man behind this initiative is a German Bitcoiner called Tilowho explained to Cointelegraph:
“We just wanted to draw attention to Bitcoin! We love guerrilla action like this, we may organize more similar initiatives in the future.”
Tilo is the CEO of an event agency that is hosting the “Best of Blockchain.
This isn’t the first time Bitcoin has been projected onto historic buildings. In May of 2021, the phrase “Fiat is the bubble, Bitcoin is the needle” appeared in the Bank of England:
“The vigilante strikes again. Last night on the Bank of England.”

In the past, Tilo had also projected Bitcoin-themed slogans on the iconic Berlin Wall and shared tutorials on how to do it online, complete with a list of products to buy. However, he warned users potentially interested in following in his footsteps: proceed with caution, as this type of “advertising” is technically not permitted by law.

On Reddit, Bitcoin enthusiasts celebrated the event. But Berlin residents appear less enthusiastic: one user criticized the projection, calling it “light pollution.“Another Hopes Instead That”Bitcoin never catches on:“
“Bitcoin is capitalism to the nth degree, without limits and morals. Every six months it is disguised under a different guise or motto.”
Unfortunately for him, the number of BTC users around the world continues to increase: today there are millions of Bitcoiners. Moreover, many developing countries are starting to exploit the decentralized and sovereign properties of Bitcoin to fight inflation and strengthen its economy.
