The annual selection call for young people between the ages of 18 and 28 who want to become is about to expire voluntary operators of the universal civil service.
They are available for tender over 71,550 seats relating to projects that will be implemented between 2023 and 2024 in Italy and abroad. Applications must be sent no later than 2.00 pm on 10 February 2023. The monthly allowance paid for projects in Italy will be 444,30 euro
Call for universal civil service, the posts
There are 71,550 places available for young people who want to become voluntary operators in the civil service. Until hours 14.00 on Friday 10 February 2023 it is possible to apply for participation in one of the 3,181 projects that will be implemented between 2023 and 2024 throughout the national territory and abroad.
Particularly:
- 70,358 voluntary operators will be put into service in 2,989 projects, relating to 530 intervention programmes, to be implemented in Italy (Annex 1);
- 1,192 voluntary operators will be put into service in 192 projects, pertaining to 37 intervention programmes, to be implemented abroad (Annex 2);
Projects have a duration between 8 and 12 monthswith hours of service equal to 25 hours per week or with an annual number of hours that varies, commensurately, between 1,145 hours for 12-month projects and 765 hours for 8-month projects.
Call for civil service, the sectors concerned
Volunteer operators will carry out activities in the various sectors in which the institutions propose projects: assistance, civil protection, environmental heritage and urban redevelopment, historical, artistic and cultural heritage, education and cultural, landscape, environmental promotion , sport and sustainable and social tourism, agriculture in mountain areas, social agriculture and biodiversity, the promotion of peace among peoples, nonviolence and unarmed defense, the promotion and protection of human rights, cooperation in development and promotion of Italian culture abroad.
The Pnrr also provides resources for the benefit of the universal civil service, aimed at promoting in particular thedigital innovation, sport and the ecological transition.
Call for civil service, timetables and monthly allowance
The commissioning will take place by 21 September 2023, for a variable duration between eight and twelve months. The timetable will be equal to 25 hours per week, or calculated with an annual number of hours that varies between 1,145 hours for 12-month projects and 765 hours for 8-month projects, spread over five or six days a week.
The monthly allowance paid for projects in Italy it will be 444.30 euros. A daily allowance is also provided for those abroad or for projects involving an additional period of one or three months in another EU country.
Call for civil service, how to apply
The application to become a voluntary Universal Civil Service Operator must be made exclusively online on the appropriate Online Application (DOL) platform.
Applications must be submitted no later than 2.00 pm on 10 February 2023.
After this deadline, the system will not allow applications to be submitted. Applications sent in different ways will not be taken into consideration. The day following the submission of the application, the Department’s protocol system sends the candidate, by e-mail, the receipt certifying the submission with the protocol number and the date and time of submission of the application. In the event of incorrect completion, it is permitted to cancel one’s application and submit a new one up until 2.00 pm on the day before the deadline for this call (9 February 2023).
Access to the platform for Italian citizens residing in Italy or abroad must take place exclusively with SPID, the Public Digital Identity System. Citizens from other European Union or non-European Union countries legally residing in Italy will be able to access the platform through specific credentials to be requested from the Department.
