Kevin Rose, creator of the Moonbirds NFT collection, announced that his wallet was hacked. It is stated that the total value of 40 NFTs stolen by Rose may have exceeded 1 million dollars.
Snatched NFTs with a single signature
Despite the great loss of the Moonbirds creator, it is stated that he saved his most valuable NFTs in a different wallet. Some users claim that Rose has lost control of their wallet after signing a malicious app, which is a way to exchange large numbers of assets for another asset of the same value. After this signature, it is predicted that the NFTs may have gone to the other wallet controlled by the hacker.
NFT of 345 ETH is also gone
According to information from analysis company Arkham, one Autoglyph NFT stolen from Rose’s wallet was priced at 345 ETH. Other stolen 25 Chromie Squiggles NFTs had a value of approximately 332.5 ETH and 9 OnChainMonkey NFTs had a value of 7.2 Ether. As a result, it seems that a total of 684.7 ETH NFTs were stolen.
