Quite similar to the SPI4664B tested nearly two years ago, the SPI9648BP induction hob also offers four cooking zones, two of which can be combined to create a HoriZone with the advertised power of 5000 W. A guarantee of versatility?
We will not really remember the SPI9648BP cooktop for its pre-recorded functions, but it remains excellent nonetheless. The direct controls are practical and the presence of combinable zones facilitates the use of long dishes. However, beware of homogeneity problems in the absence of inductors in the center of this HoriZone, as Sauter calls it. We also deplore in passing the absence of hearths of more than 21 cm in diameter. This model nevertheless offers up to four cooking zones allowing you to sear and cook on a very low heat, without too much noise pollution. A worthy replacement for the SPI4664B, in short.

The larger allows a rapid rise in temperature, while the smaller is suitable for more fragile foods. Sauter’s hob can also boast of being quite quiet and energy efficient. All in all, an excellent choice for those who are not looking for combinable zones, as the Samsung NZ63N9777GK offers for an additional hundred euros.
