The Pixel 7 Pro is the flagship of Google’s 2022 catalog. The smartphone, photo-oriented like its predecessors, smoothly improves the (very good) performance of its predecessor.

The Pixel 7 Pro confirms the good copy made last year by the Pixel 6 Pro. The smartphone refines a formula that hits the mark: Google places a very bright Oled screen, a powerful Tensor G2 chip and photo equipment that makes it one of the most versatile terminals. Android 13 is entitled to particular refinements (transcription of voice messages, free VPN to come) which serve this successful hardware. We of course regret that the smartphone does not do better in terms of autonomy and fast charging, an area in which Google does not perform miracles, and this year again we can blame the terminal for its somewhat massive design. But these elements are not enough, in our opinion, to darken this very convincing picture.
Points forts
- Very bright OLED screen.
- Performance du Tensor G2.
- Versatility and photo quality.
Weak points
- Autonomy not really up.
- Tendency to heating.

Like its predecessor, the Google Pixel 7 is an excellent smartphone. It benefits from a beautiful screen, a powerful SoC and a very good photo sensor duo. In addition, its price positioning makes it more affordable than the vast majority of its high-end competitors, without making any real concessions. We can certainly blame him for his heating in game, his always slow recharging or his too great similarity with the Pixel 6, but these defects weigh little with regard to the general experience, even more intuitive under Android 13.
