Good deal – The Philips 55OLED907 “5-star” TV at €1,569.00

The Philips 55OLED907 television is equipped with a cooled Oled EX panel to increase its brightness, the 6th generation Philips P5 AI Dual Engine processor, a Bowsers & Wilkins audio system, and of course the expensive Ambilight ambient lighting system to the brand.

The Philips 55OLED907 is quite simply one of the best televisions on the market. Whether in SDR or HDR, it offers excellent image quality, especially since the slightly boosted brightness peak further increases the impact of HDR content. Philips impresses above all with its foolproof image processing and the performance of its motion compensation engine. The manufacturer also stands out from the competition with a rotating stand, a backlit remote control, a Bowers & Wilkins audio system and of course its Ambilight system, a true signature of the house. The Phlips OLED907 is a success.

An alternative

The LG 55C2 — 55-inch (140 cm) version of the LG 65C2 we tested — remains one of the benchmarks on the television market, offering a perfectly calibrated image and a very high quality HDR experience. LG even offers itself the luxury of reducing the consumption of its Oled TV and improving the responsiveness of the system while increasing the functionalities. On the video processing side, LG no longer has much to prove, both in terms of upscaling and motion compensation. If we add to this an undisguised ease in video games, the LG 55C2 television is a model of versatility that is suitable for everyone: from movie buffs to video game enthusiasts through sports or documentary enthusiasts. It’s hard to be disappointed with the LG C2.
