Coinbase Receives Crypto Futures License in the US

The largest US exchange Coinbase has a license for crypto futures. Coinbase Financial Markets Inc. In a statement from the company, it was noted that it has obtained a license from the National Futures Association (NFA) to offer crypto futures trading to private clients who are US citizens.

The NFA serves as the entity designated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to issue this license.

Greg Tusser, Coinbase’s executive and vice president of corporate products, said: “This is a very important milestone for the crypto world and for Coinbase… Coinbase has become the only exchange to have the ability to offer futures alongside private and approved customers. Coinbase Exchange applied for this license in September 2021. The exchange had bought a platform called FairX last year. This CFTC-approved exchange was later renamed Coinbase Derivatives Exchange.
