The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is reportedly preparing to approve applications for an ETF based on ether futures contracts.
The SEC is unlikely to block the ETH Futures ETF, reports Bloomberg, citing unnamed sources.
While several companies have recently applied for Ether Futures ETFs, it was noted that these ETFs may start getting listed on stock exchanges on October 1. The companies that applied included 15 organizations such as Volatility Shares, Bitwise, Roundhill and ProShares.
We reported in the past weeks that the SEC is open to considering an Ether Futures ETF.
The institution will begin approving bitcoin futures ETFs in October 2021.
