Tether’s CTO, Paolo Ardoino, said that better analytical tools are needed for bitcoin mining. Ardoino says that stablecoin provider Tether has developed a custom bitcoin mining software with the aim of optimizing mining operations and increasing production. Tether is working on proprietary software to optimize bitcoin mining and renewable energy using data analytics.

In an interview with Cointelegraph, Paolo Ardoino explained that the mining software under development aims to offer advanced analysis and performance of mining sites. Named “Moria”, from the dwarven mining kingdom in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the software is designed by Ardoino and a team of developers. Tether’s CTO previously shared details of the software on social media.

Ardoino says that despite the ecosystem’s existing cloud-based bitcoin mining viewers, they are not customizable enough and lack deep-level editing capabilities. He emphasizes that this creates a gap for a solution capable of real-time data analysis. According to him, more sophisticated analytical tools are needed to optimize mining and energy production.

Ardoino says that understanding power generation or mining site performance requires access to deep data sources. He says parameters such as predicted wind speed can be used in mining and production optimization, especially if wind or solar power is harnessed.
