Color, performance and all budgets

Amazon Kindle is the first to offer a color screen. Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition will thus be useful for displaying images, covers or highlighted text in addition to black and white. On sale from October 30 for $280 (prices to be known in euros), it’s waterproof, compatible with wireless charging, lasts up to eight weeks and offers automatic brightness adjustment. Amazon also promises color rendering in two modes or more animation like a book, with the possibility to zoom without any pixelation.

Then place the new Kindle Scribe. Equipped with a new eraser and its stylus designed to both read and write on, the e-reader aims to give the impression of being a sheet of paper. It includes new white corners around its 300 ppi screen. Amazon is also adding Active Canvas, a tool for adding dynamic notes to a book, while it will soon be possible to write notes in the side panel. AI is also there, for example, to summarize pages. Come December 4th, and it will cost $400.

An imminent launch for new Kindles

More reasonably, the new Kindle Paperwhite is also “Fastest KindleWider (7 inches), thinner and more durable (three months) than the previous model, it’s water resistant and has 16GB of storage. The e-reader is supposed to be available now for $160. Finally, a new entry-level Kindle 2024 completes the family as offered with faster page-turning speeds. Priced at $110, it weighs just 158 grams and offers a 330 ppi screen with a brightness equivalent to paper white. 16 GB of storage is integrated.
