At around €200, the Fujifilm Instax Mini 99 is the most expensive instant camera in the range. It’s also the most advanced with color filters, detachable and adjustable flash, a “vignette” and the ever-destroying retro look. Enough to save money.

Nice shot with this Instax Mini 99 from Fujifilm. The camera has it all: style, multiple shooting parameters, interesting creative possibilities such as vignetting, exposure correction or color filters, as well as pleasing image rendering. What more could you ask for? Ah yes, the ability to load both mini and square movies.

Is LiPlay a great device? No it doesn’t get 5 stars due to imperfect ergonomics and image quality that could be improved. Nevertheless, it’s one of the most interesting boxes in the Instax range thanks to its instant camera and portable printer capabilities. In use we found it very enjoyable and efficient. The addition of sound is, in our opinion, a gimmick, but it may appeal to some users on occasion. And since its use is not obligatory, it is neither a strong point nor a drawback in our view. We find this device more advanced than the Canon Zoemini S, which sells for roughly the same price, and prefer the Instax rendering over the Zink. If you just want to make Instax prints, consider that the Instax Share SP-2 printer sells for about half the price of the LiPlay.
