Along with the presidential elections in the United States on November 5, senators will also be elected in the states. Winning senators are guaranteed to hold their seats for 6 more years, not 4 years like presidents.

Crypto supporters and enemies face off…

Two crypto-supporting and anti-crypto candidates are running for Massachusetts, one of America’s most important states in terms of finances. Lawyer John Dayton, who made a name for himself in the crypto world by providing information on the process after the SEC filed a lawsuit against the company Ripple in 2020, is the Republican candidate.

Opposite him is Elizabeth Warren, who the crypto world knows well but doesn’t look on too fondly. Although it was certain that Warren would prevail over Dayton, the pro-crypto advocate received surprising and overwhelming support.

A word of support…

Elon Musk, one of the richest businessmen in America and the world, supported Dayton, even if only with one word, on X. Musk re-shared Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong’s tweet that Deaton should be supported, saying “yes”, in other words, “RT with the comment”.

This one-word support from Musk may seem insufficient to some, but it is known that every tweet of the businessman, who has more than 200 million followers on X, is instantly followed by millions of people.

Considering that Republicans campaign more actively than Democrats, especially on social media, that one word may have more impact than it seems.

Elizabeth Warren is one of the names that has been known to oppose crypto in recent years and has argued that cryptocurrencies should be banned in the US.
