Razer’s Basilisk V2 won us over in 2020 and here comes the V3! A version that changes little, but which brings some small welcome improvements to mouse making. Gaming even more than that.
Points forts
-
Excellent optical sensor.
-
Comfortable grip.
-
Clean finish.
-
New, very practical dial.
-
Extensive RGB customization.
-
A very flexible cable that can be forgotten.
Weak points
-
Sniper button a bit smaller.
Why change a winning team? With this V3, Razer isn’t revolutionizing its Basilisk, but refining the formula a bit more with more advanced and successful RGB customization. Above all, the new free and “intelligent” scroll wheel proves to be very practical on a daily basis and the mouse is even more versatile. It can thus not only deal with Gaming Pure, but also for office use. An impeccable solution for users who want a mouse with good grip, sophisticated design and excellent accuracy. However, for more lightness, you may have to turn to another model.
Note: The price drop reported is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices charged for the product by all merchants in the previous month, excluding in-store prices. with protective rules for those whose VAT policy is unclear (so-called “grey” stores, usually in the case of imports from China).
An alternative
A cheaper alternative to the Pulse Fire Surge, this Pulse Fire core performs relatively well in practice with limited ambitions on paper. It is very easy to handle due to its lightness and its excellent glide, not too tiring to use for long periods of time, nevertheless it suffers from a few details: lack of grip, high speed of sensor movement. Functionality, a sleek design but not a design that is bulky and software that deserves a little more care and richness. Retailing for around forty euros, it will have trouble finding a place in a popular segment dominated by the Logitech G403 Prodigy or the Corsair Saber Optique, with of course the essential G502 Proteus Spectrum from Logitech.
