Yesterday evening, October 29, Xiaomi unveiled its Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro smartphones as well as its HyperOS 2 deployment schedule but that wasn’t all for the Chinese manufacturer, as there were also two new connected accessories. Smartband 9 Pro connected bracelet and Xiaomi Watch S4 connected watch.
The Smartband goes 9 Pro.
Let’s start with the Pro version of the Smart Band 9, which was launched just a few months ago. Like the previous series, the AMOLED screen is wide (1.74 inches) and square. Xiaomi offers a resolution of 336 x 480 pixels here with a peak brightness declared at 1,200 cd/m². The overall aluminum body measures 43.27 x 32.49 x 10.8 mm and weighs 24.5 grams.

Its 350 mAh battery, promising 21 days of battery life, is water resistant (5ATM). Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and GPS chips are present, with support for Glonass, Galileo and QZSS. If it’s useful for geolocation, then obviously the product is designed to monitor the wearer’s constants: heart rate, blood oxygen, stress or sleep. There are also sports fashions.
Compatible with iOS and Android smartphones, the Smart Band 9 Pro is currently only sold in China at a price of 399 CNY (around €50). Magnetic bracelets are available for 169 CNY (about €22) and leather bracelets for 99 CNY (about €12).
Xiaomi Watch S4: sneaky progress
Next comes the Xiaomi Watch S4 and its interchangeable bezel, which comes in two versions: one with eSIM and one without. It has a starting price of 999 CNY (around €130) in China. The successor to the Watch 3 still offers a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels with a peak brightness of 2,200 cd/m². In its 44.5G body, it includes most of the features mentioned for the Smart Band 9 Pro.

It specifically adds the ability to make hands-free calls and listen to music, or interact with messaging services and other Xiaomi devices from your wrist, including with a simple flick of your fingers. Includes a rotating crown to control the interface.
In terms of autonomy, with a 486 mAh battery the manufacturer claims 15 days in “normal use” and 5 days with the screen always on. Will probably be able to get our hands on it outside of China in a few months.
