Strong controls in urban areas

Initially, several hundred pieces of equipment would have to be updated to detect all these violations. Current radars, primarily ” FusionFusion 2”, will thus be equipped with intelligent systems combining algorithms with the analysis of filmed images. These devices should be able to track 126 vehicles simultaneously at a distance of 100 meters and across 5 lanes of traffic. Note that detection of not wearing a seat belt and using a telephone while driving should be subject to human validation, to avoid errors.
As part of this plan, the 2025 budget plans to allocate more than 46 million euros to road safety. Urban areas should be prioritized for these controls.
