While the OnePlus 13, Realme GT7 Pro and Xiaomi 15 feature Qualcomm’s new chip, the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the smartphone market leader is eagerly awaited: Samsung.
The latest news was that rumors suggested that all the models in the Galaxy S25 range would feature this latest high-end processor…but they finally seem to run counter to reality.
Recent benchmarks, i.e. performance tests, actually show the differences between the models. We have indeed detected the presence of a Samsung chip, SM-S936B (presumably Exynos 2500) for the Galaxy S25+ and Snapdragon 8 Elite for the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Thus, Samsung is still working on a processor after the Exynos 2400 in the Galaxy S24 and S24+. So we can assume that the Galaxy S25 and S25+ will feature this chip instead of the Snapdragon 8 Elite sold in certain markets, such as Europe.
That means less performance, given that Samsung has yet to tie up with US founder Qualcomm with Snapdragon chips.
These performance tests also make it possible to compare Samsung’s earlier test results on these two smartphones.
- Galaxy S25+:
- Single cover: 2359
- Multi Core : 8 141
- Galaxy S25 Ultra:
- Single Core : 3 148
- Multicore: 10 236
Thus we have very different scores between these models, the difference between which should logically decrease in the coming months thanks to new improvements from Samsung on its new Exynos. However, it’s safe to say that the Snapdragon 8 Elite will outperform the rest, thus guaranteeing the Galaxy S25 Ultra to be the most powerful smartphone in the range.
