Always looking to make life easier for sound professionals, AIAIAI has just unveiled the TMA-2 DJ Wireless Headphones. Touted as one of the world’s first wireless headphones suitable for DJs, it promises much lower latency than traditional Bluetooth headphones.
Extremely low latency, almost like a wired connection
Measuring around 250ms on average depending on the headset, Bluetooth connectivity latency creates a slight lag with the source. This tendency can prove difficult when setting the tempo before a transition, and DJs know this all too well.
To overcome this, the TMA-2 DJ wireless headphones come with a wireless transmitter that will be able to reduce latency to just 10 ms. So this connection will offer a shift closer to a wired connection, without the hassle of cables. Presented in the form of a dongle to which a 3.5mm mini-jack cable is soldered, this small accessory called the W+ Link is compatible with any source equipped with a headphone output.
Suitable for all needs, the TMA-2 DJ Wireless also includes a traditional Bluetooth receiver and a mini-jack input that allows it to be used wired. Switching between Bluetooth and W+ Link connections is very easy using a dedicated button. A very useful command to quickly re-establish the connection with your smartphone as soon as you leave the stage.
