How does ranking work?
With the Bravia 8 (77XR80) – the 77-inch (196 cm) version of the 55XR80 – that we tested – Sony has produced a good television overall, but with some drawbacks in terms of picture quality. If it delivers a quality sound system alongside the Old’s significant advantages in terms of contrast and response, we can only be disappointed with the image management on this model, something Sony has accustomed us to improving. Its color measurement is imperfect, as is its brightness management. So it’s hard to justify such a price with this service, especially since we find direct competitors like the LG C4, Samsung S90D or Philips OLED809, and sometimes the even higher-end LG G4, as good. , or even better and at a lower price. To enjoy a truly “cinematic” picture you’ll have to switch to other Sony TVs, such as the A95L or Bravia 9.
