Zero Motorcycles is probably the most popular electric motorcycle manufacturer in the market. A niche market, which still allowed the SR manufacturer not only to sell 390 units in 2023, but above all to recently raise $120 million to expand its international ambitions. That’s not all. For a broader purpose, Zero has just unveiled a range of ultralight and accessible motocross bikes: the X range.
Access for all: Zero targets those under €10,000.
It’s not enough to sell big bikes, it’s a big budget mistake that puts them in competition with the leading thermal models. Manufacturer Zero understands this well and has therefore chosen to attack the market from the bottom by offering a new range of electric motocross bikes, some of which are accessible from 14 years old with an AM license. .

Not sure if the press release is relevant when comparing motocross and mountain bikes. This is the angle the manufacturer has chosen to communicate the XE and XB small motocross bikes. Lightweight, maneuverable, affordable machines capable of maneuvering in steep and muddy terrain.
They have removable batteries, allowing you to charge them at home. On the pitch, traction control can be disabled, allowing you to play on really slippery surfaces. And all in silence.
Zero XE: A lightweight enduro
The Zero XE is touted as the brand’s lightest model, weighing in at 101 kg. It has 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels.
With its 4.3 kWh battery, the XE promises a range of 100 km at steady speed and a top speed of 85 km/h. In France, the Zero XE will be offered from summer 2025 at a price of €6,455.
Zero XB: All-terrain for thrill-seeking youngsters
Designed for drivers aged 14 years and above, the Zero XB weighs 63 kg. The Zero Machine can be compared to a mountain bike, but it weighs 3 times the average bicycle weight.
The 19-inch wheels make it literally a little toy. The declared range is 75 km. A full recharge takes three hours. The big kids’ toy will cost €4,440, which is more reasonable than, for example, the Citroën Ami.
For the most adventurous, reservations are already possible on the manufacturer’s website.
