Competitions are held on a regional basis and cover vacant and available posts for the three-year school term 2022/2023-2024/2025. Last date to apply is Wednesday 4th December at 11.59pm.

Prerequisites
To participate in competitions, candidates must have:
- Confirmation ofdiocesan propriety Issued by the head of the competent diocesan office, it must be valid for the diocese and the school level of the competition;
- At least one Qualification of professional qualification For the teaching of Catholicism in lower and upper secondary schools.
Qualifications required to teach in nursery and primary schools are:
- A baccalaureate, licentiate or doctorate in theology or other ecclesiastical discipline
- Licentiate in Biblical Sciences, Scripture or Missiology
- Master’s degree or license in religious studies
- Certificate of Completion of Course in Theology (Theology Course) in a Major Seminary
- Licentiate in Educational Studies with specialization in “Education and Religion”.
- Master’s degree in Educational Sciences with specialization in “Pedagogy and Religious Education” or “Catechetics and Youth Ministry”.
Qualifications required for teaching in lower and upper secondary schools are:
- A baccalaureate, licentiate or doctorate in theology or other ecclesiastical discipline
- Licentiate in Theology or its specializations, such as Biblical Sciences or Sacred Scripture
- Master’s Degree in Religious Studies
- High Specialization Diploma in Religious Studies from the “Italo Mancini” Institute of Urbino
- Licentiate in Educational Studies with specialization in “Education and Religion”.
- A second-level Master’s degree in Catholic Religious Education accredited by the CEI
- Diploma in Theological Sciences recognized by the Italian Episcopal Conference (for qualifications obtained by the 2016-2017 academic year).
Common requirements include:
- Italian citizenship or citizenship of an EU country
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Enjoying civil and political rights
- Physical fitness for education
- For Italian citizens, a regular position with respect to military service obligations.
Candidates with disqualifying criminal convictions or who have been dismissed from other public administrations are excluded.

The competition is divided into a computer-based written test, lasting 100 minutes, with 50 multiple-choice questions as follows:
- 40 questions aimed at ascertaining the candidate’s knowledge and skills in the areas of academic, psychological and teaching methodology.
- 5 questions aimed at mastering the English language at B2 level.
- 5 questions aimed at assessing digital skills related to the educational use of technologies.

gave Oral test It aims to assess teaching skills, academic issues and organizational skills. The duration is 45 minutes for high schools and 30 minutes for childhood and primary schools.

Qualifications also weigh on the overall assessment and can be worth up to a maximum of 50 points (for example, a Doctorate of Theology carries up to 40 points, which varies depending on the final grade). 0.5 for each year of seniority in the IRC of schools at all levels.
How to participate
Application can be submitted on 5th November 2024 from 2.00 PM onwards. 4 December 2024 at 11.59 PMTo participate in the competition procedure electronically through the Ministry’s official website in the section dedicated to competitions or from the InPA recruitment portal with Spid or Cie credentials, a secretarial fee of 10 euros is to be paid. With the bulletin issued by Pago in the Rete system.
Each candidate may participate in the region with the headquarters of the diocesan general where the certification of suitability was issued.
