In a post on the GeForceNOW Reddit page, Nvidia announced that starting in 2025, gamers will have a time limit to enjoy their membership. Thus, subscribers to the Performance and Ultimate offers will be able to use GeForce Now for 100 hours per month, no more. This actually equates to a little less than 3.5 hours per day.
As a reminder, the Performance subscription is available for €10.99 per month, with session durations currently not exceeding 6 hours. The Ultimate subscription, which offers 4K, DLSS 3, Nvidia Reflex and G-Sync Cloud for €21.99 per month, allows 8 hours of sessions per day. There’s also a free offer, but it doesn’t allow you to play for more than an hour at a time, and there are longer queues than the paid offers.
A maximum of 100 hours per month, or a little less than 3.5 hours per day
According to Nvidia, this new limit of 100 hours per month should accommodate the 94% of members who don’t already exceed that limit today. Also note that, if you don’t use up to 15 hours from your 100 hour monthly package, these 15 hours can be carried over to the next month, after which you will get a limit of 115 hours. On the other hand, if the 100-hour limit is exceeded, players will have to pay a different additional price for each type of subscription: Nvidia is talking about an additional $2.99 for 15 additional hours on the Performance offer. , and 5. $.99 for an additional 15 hours on the Ultimate Offer.
Important Note: This move will be effective only from the beginning of 2025, and only for new subscribers from 2025 onwards. In other words, if you have a subscription today, or you subscribe to an offer before December 31st, the time limit will expire. Not effective for another year. In this case, Nvidia will start limiting gaming time to just 100 hours from 2026. If you create an account on January 1, 2025, on the other hand, it will become effective as soon as your account is created.
