Traditions in Japan are like croissants in France: we don’t joke about it! Multiplication of the same model of the PlayStation console started with the first name and each generation now has its One, its Slim and/or its Pro.
So Sony honors its wish and releases a PS5 Pro, a PS5 with a more muscular GPU. This graphic processing unit on vitamin C (if not on amphetamines) is able, among other things, to manage PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution Upscaling, equivalent to Nvidia’s DLSS), a technology that uses AI to do some Rendering game elements requires less computing. According to the powerhouse manufacturer, the idea is to no longer have to choose between perfect fluidity and stunning graphics.
PS5 Pro: Sony announced that over fifty games will be natively compatible.
But if the GPU is optimized, the CPU doesn’t really move. Above all, the PS5 Pro is sold without an optical drive, which of course explains the hard drive storage from 1 to 2 TB, of course it is still possible to add an optical drive sold separately for €130. The PS5 Pro is starting to get a little steep since it retails for €799.
