Strike November 8 Rome Atac
In Rome, today, Friday 8 November, a national transport strike without a guarantee band affects the Atac network, including lines managed by Atac and other operators and peripheral lines managed by Autoservizi Troiani/Sap and Autoservizi Tuscia/Bis. .
However, Atac has identified some essential services from 8.30am daytime service start and 5pm to 8pm:
- A part of the subway service
- A part of the surface service especially on the main routes with connections between suburbs and metro stations and lines serving hospital centers and Ciampino airport.
As required by the no-strike regulation, services for the disabled are guaranteed from the start of daytime service at 8.29am and from 5.00pm to 7.59pm (all information on disability services available here) can):
- In stations on the metro network where lifts, stairs and escalators are available and not temporarily disabled due to work. Hence, stair booking service and travel assistance are also guaranteed.
- All buses and trams on guaranteed lines are accessible on the surface network.
If metro lines remain open outside of the slots we guarantee, the service of escalators, lifts and stairs in stations will not be guaranteed.
Ticket office service is not guaranteed for the entire day. The online ticket office service will not face any kind of disruption. Interchange car parks are always open after the Metro network timetable, ie 5.15-2.15. Bike boxes will not be available at any closed station except in the bike parks at Laurentina and Ionio stations.

C Metro’s entire network, including alternate bus lines, is not guaranteed service.
Between Friday 8 and Saturday 9 November (after midnight)
- Daytime lines operating beyond midnight and lines 8-38-44-61-86-170-246-301-451-664-881-916-980 and lines 314-404 are not guaranteed. 444 from another operator, neither Metro runs scheduled after midnight and Metro C’s alternate bus service.
- Instead, regulate the service of night bus lines (lines whose names start with “n”).
Other lines

Strike November 8 Rome Astral Cotral (MetroMare and Rome-Viterbo railway)
Astral-Cotral also joins the strike today, Friday 8 November. Cancellations and major delays are expected for buses and trains between 00:00 and 23:59. A list of buses not affected by the strike, and those operating regularly, can be found here.
However, Kotral has identified some minimum essential services that are not affected by the strike, including connectivity to airports, railway and sea stations and transport for the disabled. Therefore some services on Metromere Regional Railway, Rome-Viterbo Regional Railway and non-urban bus lines should be guaranteed. Trinitalia strike 8 November 2024
The national strike on Friday 8 November has nothing to do with trains, however, it is a union block which is limited to local public transport only.
Stops do not include railway staff, Neither Trinitalia nor Italo, Except for the staff at Ferrovi del Sud Est, who will keep their arms folded for 24 hours. Trenitalia’s FL railway lines are also regular.
