According to documents submitted to China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Xiaomi’s SU7, whose production is ramping up in response to its popularity, will be equipped with 21-inch gold sports rims.
New golden sports rims for SU7
The current range of RAMs for Xiaomi SU7 is already different. There’s a 19-inch sports model, an aerodynamic version of the same size, 20-inch so-called “plum blossom” rims and 21-inch black sports rims priced at ¥12,000 (about $1,600).
New 21-inch gold sports wheels carry forward the design of the existing black version by adding a luxurious gold finish. It is therefore possible that they were charged even ¥12,000, although the documents submitted to MIIT do not state anything.
The design of these rims incorporates teardrop-shaped spokes for a sporty look. They are equipped with fifth-generation Pirelli P ZERO high-performance tires with dimensions of 245/35 R21 at the front and 265/35 R21 at the rear for optimal grip.
The braking system includes four-piston Brembo fixed calipers and perforated ventilated discs at the front wheels to increase braking performance and stability.
The goal, beyond the design, is to offer the Xiaomi SU7 a more dynamic driving experience with assurance, especially with tight turns and high speeds. It’s a nice sporty alternative to the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, available for pre-order, which also broke a record at the Nürburgring circuit in Germany.
