In terms of market, this fourth version of Sennheiser’s Momentum offers a very good overall experience, enough to win the ultimate star by a narrow margin. If the headset has many good points (autonomy, hands-free kit quality, ease of use and functions, etc.), however, it should not be seen as a perfect headset. Some of its competitors actually offer a more advanced sound experience and active noise reduction (among others, WH-1000XM4, Headphones 700, PX7 S2, etc.), without sacrificing the rest. If these points are two absolute priorities for you, then you should think carefully before setting your sights on this Momentum 4 Wireless.

An alternative
We’d be hard-pressed to criticize the Sony WH-1000XM4 for its striking resemblance to the WH-1000XM3. The big one was already very close to a certain form of perfection, and with small functional adjustments, often minimal, sometimes significant (multipoint Bluetooth connection, finally!), the little guy naturally made wireless noise. serves as a reduction criterion. Just a word of caution before you buy: make sure you won’t be bothered by a sound that’s certainly remarkably accurate and musical, but with a very pronounced tilt toward bass.
