The G3 is LG’s only Oled TV to use a new Oled panel equipped with billions of microlenses to dramatically increase peak brightness. The panel also improves viewing angles and reflection performance. Is that enough to make it the best Oled TV on the market?

The LG 55G3 — the 55-inch (140 cm) version of the LG 65G3 that we tested — is the best TV tested in our lab to date. It combines all the advantages of Oled technology (contrast, accuracy, responsiveness, viewing angles) with the high brightness of a Mini-Led model. Even an anti-reflective filter is more effective. If we look closely, we see minor flaws, such as less colorimetric coverage compared to QD-Oled televisions, a stand sold as an option or a fairly standard remote control. The fact is that this television is currently the best for all uses (movies, series, video games, TV and sports).

With its 55G4, the 55-inch (140 cm) version of the 65G4 that we tested, LG improved on its Oled G3 television, already a standard. The formula is not fundamentally different, but we get all the features of the G range with a careful design, excellent image quality in SDR and HDR (with a light peak that is even higher than in the 2023) and everything that The party Need to play in good conditions. As a bonus, the G4 uses very little and the webOS interface has been updated for five years now. The only pity is that the manufacturer could have provided a basis for more versatility, but LG has once again created a high-end Oled TV.
