Just a cool guy (CHILLGUY), one of Solana Blockchain’s newest members, is facing stolen trademark charges.
The super memecoin cycle brought many altcoins into the industry. Memecoins like PNUT, ACT and GOAT achieved sensational growth and reached the top.
The recently released CHILLGUY also went viral in no time. CHILGUY, whose market value reached nearly $500 million, won praise from the Solana community.
A surprising allegation has been made against CHILLGUY, which is expected to enter Binance just like PNUT and GOAT. PhillipBankss, the creator of the character that CHILLGUY preferred as an icon, stated that Chill Guy owns the copyright. The artist said that he will take action against the CHILGUY team for using the image without permission.
Serious charge against Solana Mimiquin Chilgi
The viral “Just a Cool Guy” cartoon turned into a meme coin on the Solana blockchain. An entrepreneur launched CHILLGUY through Pump.fun. The crypto community has flocked to memecoin in hopes that it will become a new trend. CHILLGUY, which opened for trading on the Radium Stock Exchange on November 15, recorded an increase of about 37,000 percent in a week.
The creator of the data covered by Memecoin explained that he does not want his work to be used in the crypto space. The artist said he would take legal action against projects that use his drawings without permission. The crypto community reported that PhillipBankss was trying to get money from the project team. Community members suggested that the artist take away his image rights from the project team, get rich and retire.
PhillipBanks noted the following;
“I should mention that I bought the copyright to chill the guy. “I will exercise my legal rights and terminate the profitable projects within the next few days.”
The artist said he did not approve of his works being used in crypto and that the measures were implemented without his consent.
The CHILLGUY community believes CHILLGUY will gain power despite PhillipBankss lawsuit threats. Community members have predicted that CHILLGUY will take off whether the artist supports it or not.
However, some defended the artist’s decision, saying he was an artist and “not a fraud”.
