Like the PS4 with VR, the PS5 deserves its own virtual reality headset, the aptly named VR2, a lot more muscular. Sony has tweaked its formula by adding a number of technologies to improve player comfort and immersion.

When will PC compatibility be available?
Let’s put it bluntly, there is a world of difference between PS VR and PS VR2. The former almost feels like a trial run as the latter offers a much more enjoyable and rich experience. Easy to connect, fun to set up, offering performance worthy of much more expensive models, the PS VR2 stands up brilliantly to the genre leaders. You must own a PS5 to take advantage of this and build a game library of (re)compatible titles.
An alternative
MetaQuest 3S represents an interesting side step. The manufacturer’s goal here is clearly to democratize mixed reality with a product with a very aggressive performance/price ratio. And from this point of view, it is a real success. Of course, the screen will make purists cringe, even if the display remains decent enough to use. In any case, the Quest 3S is not their goal. For those who want the best possible experience and have the budget, Quest 3 is the perfect choice. For everyone else, the 3S is a truly amazing product, allowing for true mixed reality use and providing an excellent virtual reality experience. Despite the affordable price, the overall performance won’t be too far from its big brother.
