The move, the brainchild of American YouTuber and engineer Mark Raber, will allow you to take selfies with the ground right behind you. For this project, joined forces with Mark Raber GoogleGoogle etc TT-Mobile soon to launch a satellite dedicated to this mission into orbit. Called “SAT GUS”, it will have two cameras and two phones. The satellite should in principle be launched by SpaceX in January 2025 and placed in a low orbit at an altitude of about 600 km. He should start taking selfies after a few months.
The idea is to be able to take a selfie when the satellite is above your city. In reality, a smartphone photo will be taken that shows your selfie with the Earth in the background. The image is then sent directly to you on a “first come, first served” basis.

To register, you must visit the Space Selfie website. This operation is completely free, but to claim such a selfie, you must first enter a code to receive it. through T-Life application for T-Mobile subscribers or through Google for those who own a Pixel or by registering on CrunchLabs, Mark Raber’s platform that offers engineering kits for kids.
After entering the code, you have to send a selfie (or a group photo or even your pet), which will later be displayed in the space.
