Conflict between updates
Deployed last week, some users of the Windows Insider program may have noticed that the service doesn’t work at all. In response, Microsoft explained where the problem came from, but without providing a solution to affected users. Thus, users indicate that Windows Recall does not take any screenshots (this is considered its primary function). In response, Microsoft posted a message on its blog, indicating that the issue occurs with users who have installed KB5046740 (preview update for November) and then developer patch 26120.2415. .
To combat the problem, Microsoft offers a single solution:We recommend that you do not install this preview update before it is included in the developer patch until the bug is fixed in a later update. In other words, if you already see a problem, you have nothing to do but wait. If you haven’t installed the KB5046740 preview update, everything should work as it should. One thing’s for sure: Windows Recall, Microsoft teams have had plenty to work on for months!
