The Xiaomi 15 Ultra promises to be one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2025. Following its recent passage through the Chinese 3C certification, several details have emerged. Its predecessor, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, was itself confirmed for a presentation in early February 2024, a few days later. So this new device could follow the same path as most manufacturers this year with early releases.
A delayed but imminent arrival
Initially expected in January 2025, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra may have fallen a bit behind schedule, however. According to the informant, the digital chat station is widely spread across the Chinese social network. Weibosoftware adjustments will still be necessary, even though the hardware is almost ready. However, everything suggests that the smartphone will debut in China fairly quickly, with a global launch in Barcelona during MWC 2025.
A collection of innovations
According to the first rumours, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will rely on impressive features to dominate the market:
- 6.7-inch curved Old LTPO display with 2K resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, and an integrated ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
- Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the most powerful for multitasking and Gaming.
- The battery with a capacity between 5450 and 5800 mAh is compatible with 90 W ultra-fast wired charging.
- Support for satellite communications via Tiantong and Beidou networks.
His image layout as a major argument
For once, Xiaomi will focus on photography, with a full quadruple photo module:
- A central sensor with wide-angle optics opening at f/1.63.
- A 200-megapixel x4.3 periscopic telephoto lens.
- A x2 zoom of 50 Mpx and an ultra-wide angle.
An international release will be confirmed.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be offered in several finishes, including a faux leather covering, or a ceramic back, or even fiberglass. It will be launched in China first, and should then be available in several international markets. However, the availability of some features, such as satellite connectivity, may not be available in all regions.
