In a blog post published on December 19, 2024, US media first reported that the console would indeed be called the Nintendo Switch 2, according to a Next Handheld source. “I saw a picture of a dock, with the same logo as the original Nintendo Switch, but with 2 attached.”, explains The Verge journalist Sean Hollister.
