With the Nikkor Z 40mm F/2, Nikon finally offers a versatile and accessible focal length for Nikonists making the switch to hybrids. Quite comfortable on all terrain, it delivers very satisfying sharpness at f/5.6, but we regret the low level of sharpness at large apertures. It is possible to carry it almost anywhere without difficulty and easily engage in many modes of photography. This will be an asset for those equipped with a 24×36 sensor device or an APS-C body.
