This scooter inspires confidence especially thanks to its wide deck that allows both feet to rest comfortably.

For this test I had the opportunity to travel the streets of Paris with the Acer Predator scooter. An enriching experience that highlights the model’s strengths and some points for improvement. From the moment you take it in hand, it impresses with its sturdiness: the construction is meticulous with quality materials. This scooter inspires confidence especially thanks to its wide deck that allows both feet to rest comfortably. This ensures a stable position even on long journeys. Integrated turn signals are a real safety asset. This is a particularly valuable point in dense urban traffic like Paris. Night lighting is also very practical, as it provides excellent visibility.

Despite the driving stability, the Predator remains quite sensitive to the roughness of the Parisian asphalt. This may be a point to consider for those who plan to ride on uneven surfaces such as cobblestones or paths. On the other hand, the brakes are precise and responsive, which is essential for driving in urban environments. With its 18 kg on the scale, this model favors sturdiness, but as a result portability is also limited. For multimodal use, especially in public transport, this weight can represent a real challenge. In terms of connectivity, I faced difficulties in using the application. Improvements will be needed to provide a smooth user experience.

Based on my experience, I think the Acer Predator scooter is mainly for those who prioritize safety and reliability. It shines with its robust design, its well-designed instruments like headlights and indicators, and precise braking performance. If Acer manages to improve vibration filtration and improve application connectivity, the Predator could prove itself essential for urban commuting.

Whether uphill or on fairly steep slopes (20%), it maintains consistent speed without showing weakness.

After three weeks of use, I can say that this electric scooter has changed my daily commute. Although I’m not exactly handy, assembly and handling was child’s play. It was ready to use in less than 10 minutes! In use, I was really surprised by its simple and intuitive aspect. From the first contact, you immediately realize that this is a reliable and solid product. Small details, like Predator branding and green piping, add a subtle aesthetic touch without being flashy. On the driving side, stability proves to be a big asset: even on slightly bumpy roads, I always felt perfectly safe. What I particularly liked was the driving position. Thanks to the relatively high handlebar, comfort is guaranteed, even over long distances. Its maximum speed of 25 kmph is perfect for driving around town. At night, the headlight provides maximum and assured avoidance of obstacles. The same is true of indicators that effectively indicate a change of direction in urban traffic.

A special mention for the ultra-premium braking system, which consists of a progressive engine brake and a mechanical brake. At no point did I feel like I was losing control. Whether uphill or on fairly steep slopes (20%), it maintains consistent speed without showing weakness. Acceleration is smooth and jerk-free. In terms of charging, a full charge takes just under 8 hours. The Predator’s autonomy pleasantly surprised me: a weekly recharge is enough to cover my entire commute to work, or about 50km. This is more than a daily use requirement like mine, which has a 10 km round trip every day. No need to worry about the battery anymore provides real everyday comfort.

As a city dweller, weight and folding of the scooter were important criteria for me. With its 18 kg, I can easily fold it up and take it on public transport or keep it under my desk. The folding mechanism is extremely fast and intuitive. In summary, this scooter has everything you need to make everyday life easier. It is robust, efficient, easy to transport and offers impressive autonomy. I can only recommend it!

To summarize

For several weeks, our readers tested the Acer Predator ES Series 5 electric scooter through their daily trips, analyzing its design, performance and comfort of use. Strengths emerging from their testing include a robust design, well-thought-out safety equipment such as integrated turn signals, efficient lighting and precise braking. Testers praised the stability and driving comfort (including over long distances), especially thanks to the high handlebars and wide deck. The autonomy was particularly appreciated: a full charge of less than 8 hours provides up to a week of use for a trip of about 50 km. Some points for improvement were raised, such as sensitivity to irregular surfaces, difficulties in communicating with the application and a significant weight that limits portability for multimodal travel. With generally conflicting opinions, both of our testers share enthusiastic feedback and highly recommend the Acer Predator ES Series 5 scooter.
