Xiaomi has three vehicles in the works, including the YU7 SUV which has been revealed through new images. But in the meantime, the automaker has big sales ambitions for the current SU7 sedan that far exceeded its goals last year.
Xiaomi wants to sell 300,000 SU7 sedans in 2025
With production capacity limited to one factory, even if the site is fully expanded, Xiaomi had set a goal of selling 100,000 sedans in 2024. It took only 275 days to reach this time on November 13, 2024. Total deliveries are 130,000 units including 16,328 for the month of December 2024 alone. China EV Data Tracker.
Li Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, is even more excited for 2025 given this success. The manager has a big goal for this new year: at least 300,000 sales for the SU7, whether in its standard, pro and max versions. But this projection is also modest given the state of the Chinese automobile market for electric vehicles, according to the digital chat station.
Xiaomi can therefore strengthen its emerging position in the electric vehicle market, especially with the upcoming launch of the YU7 SUV. There is also the Ultra version, which broke a record on the Nürburgring circuit, which has been eagerly awaited by fans of the high-end sector.
